From an early age, Invest LOV Inc. founder Janice Johnson understood the importance of supporting and investing in her communities because she spent considerable time with her mother, a chronic volunteer who improved the lives of others. It was an ideal education of the heart, so Janice continued to nurture her own passion for community involvement.
Many decades later, Vera's lessons in giving selflessly still resonate with her children, and thus the name Invest LOV was born: Invest Lessons Of Vera, a nonprofit honoring mom and her dedication.
On February 27, 2018, Vera Earlene De Witt peacefully passed away with her daughters by her side, but with every Student Investment Initiative project, her spirit remains strong. As long as we care for others and our communities, we are all LOVED.
Keep an eye on the blog below to catch some funny stories about Vera, Janice's experience with teenagers as a teacher, and you might even find some sordid stories from Janice's youth.
